Nelson E. Rincon
Founder, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
Nelson E. Rincon is a global, multilingual executive with more than 35 years of experience advising on complex, capital-intensive, and cross-border initiatives. He is the Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of AVZIRE, where he leads the firm’s institutional advisory, international tax architecture, and project finance readiness platform.
Nelson has held partner and global or regional leadership roles in major international consulting firms for over two decades and has served in C-suite international positions within large multinational organizations. He is widely regarded as a senior authority in global M&A advisory, international tax structuring, and institutional capital alignment.
He has been recognized among the Top 100 Global Leaders in Finance and is a member of Leadership Trust, an invitation-only network recognizing senior global leaders. Nelson holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Accounting and a Master of Science in Taxation from the University of Miami.

Eysa Reyes-Rincon
Chief Operating Officer
Eysa Reyes-Rincón is the Chief Operating Officer of Avzire Consulting LLC, with more than 25 years of experiencein corporate finance, international taxation, and organizational leadership across multinational environments.
Her background includes senior financial and administrative roles within global corporations, where she oversaw financial reporting, compliance processes, and internal controls. She also served as Tax Director in Deloitte Venezuela’s Global Employer Services practice, advising multinational clients on expatriate taxation, global mobility programs, treaty application, and cross-border compliance.
Eysa has held senior leadership roles in the telecommunications sector, including serving as country controller following a major acquisition, and has supported the establishment of a private credit financial company in Panama, contributing to regulatory compliance and operational readiness.
At Avzire, she supports execution discipline, engagement governance, and operational alignment across global tax, project finance readiness, and organizational advisory engagements.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Accounting and a Master of Science in Professional Management from the University of Miami.

Scott G. Byrnes
Advisory Board Member - Oil and Gas
Scott G. Byrnes is a senior petroleum engineering professional with more than 45 years of experience across onshore U.S. and Gulf of Mexico oil and gas operations, bringing deep expertise in reservoir engineering, field development, asset evaluation, and energy infrastructure.
His background includes senior technical and managerial roles supporting property acquisitions, divestitures, and development initiatives for oil and gas operators. He is the President of Burks Oil & Gas Properties, Inc., a Houston-based firm providing engineering and advisory services to the energy sector, and has been actively involved in the evaluation and execution of complex oil and gas transactions.
Earlier in his career, Scott held senior engineering positions with Agip Petroleum (now ENI) and other energy companies, where he supported significant acquisition and development programs, as well as roles focused on reservoir and pipeline engineering.
At Avzire, Scott serves as an Advisory Board member, contributing technical judgment, reserve evaluation insight, and asset-level expertise to oil and gas–related advisory and project readiness engagements.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and completed post-baccalaureate studies in Petroleum Engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Texas and a long-standing member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Christopher Nystrom

Chris is an accomplished energy and alternative energy professional engineering executive with more than 30 years of experience, focusing on energy efficiency and technology related to utility, central plant, and distributed energy. Most recently, he provided technical due diligence and development support to Diatoms Inc. as President of Diatoms Energy. Prior to his financial world experience, Chris started CRC Engineering, PC, eventually merging the company with WSP USA in 2016, where he took on the role of Director of the Northeast and Central Regions of the WSP US Energy practice. In these roles, Chris used his operating, construction, and engineering backgrounds to develop central plant and distribution system solutions for major infrastructure clients such as The Port Authority of NY&NJ, NY Presbyterian Hospital, Brown University, and many more. Before pursuing his engineering consulting career, Chris constructed several cogeneration facilities for Keyspan (National Grid), operated two waste-to-energy facilities, several cogeneration plants, and a few merchant ships. Related career milestones include a 7-year term on the SUNY Maritime College Alumni Association Board of Trustees and 10 years as a development partner in a tire pyrolysis project. Currently, Chris is the leader of the renewable energy practice and serves as an advisory board member at Avzire. Chris holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from SUNY Maritime College, NY Professional Engineering License, was previously certified for NY Special Inspections, and previously held operating licenses, including NJ Red Seal, US Qualified Resource Recovery Operations (QRO) general and site-specific, merchant marine 3rd Assistant Engineer Unlimited Tonnage Steam and Diesel.

Geoffrey Baker
Advisory Board Member – Energy & Natural Resources
Geoffrey is a senior international finance professional with specialization in energy, natural resources, and oil and gas markets, bringing experience across investment structuring, physical commodities, and advisory work in global energy sectors.
His background includes facilitating direct investments and advisory mandates in oil and gas projects, as well as involvement in physical commodities offtake and fixed-income structures linked to producing assets. He has also worked in energy consulting roles and has experience with investment structures supported by producing oil and gas resourcesassessed under recognized reserve reporting standards.
Geoffrey has held senior roles within energy-focused investment and advisory organizations, including leadership responsibilities within energy-oriented funds and capital advisory platforms. He currently serves as a senior member of Avzire’s energy markets team, supporting international market development and engagement with global capital sources, and acts as an Advisory Board member to the firm.
He holds academic training in industrial design from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan, and completed undergraduate studies in communications, English, and psychology.

Thomas W. Janes
Advisory Board Member – Private Equity & Corporate Finance
Thomas Janes is a senior private equity and corporate finance executive with extensive experience advising and leading middle-market companies, private investment platforms, and boards of directors.
He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kerry Capital Advisors, a private investment and advisory firm serving private and public companies. Previously, he served as a Managing Director at Lincolnshire Management, where he established and led the firm’s Boston office, and earlier as a co-founder and Managing Director of Triumph Capital, participating in the sourcing and management of large-scale private equity investments.
Earlier in his career, Thomas worked as an investment banker with firms including Drexel Burnham, First Boston, and Lazard Frères, and as a management consultant at Bain & Company, advising on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and strategic transactions.
He has served on the boards of directors of numerous private and public companies, contributing governance oversight, transaction experience, and capital-markets perspective. At Avzire, Thomas serves as an Advisory Board member, providing senior judgment on capital structure, governance, and institutional alignment.
Thomas holds a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Bryan Jarrard
Senior Advisor - International Tax (United States)
Brian Jarrard is a senior international tax and accounting advisor with more than 20 years of experience, including extensive leadership roles within Big Four professional services and multinational operating environments.
He spent a decade leading the global tax functions of two oilfield services companies, supporting complex U.S. and cross-border tax matters, corporate structuring, and operational tax governance in capital-intensive industries. Earlier in his career, Brian worked at Deloitte, advising multinational clients on tax compliance, planning, and financial reporting matters.
Brian holds a Master’s degree in Taxation from the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business, and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business. At Avzire, he serves as Senior Advisor for the United States, contributing technical judgment and operating-company perspective to international tax and institutional readiness engagements.

John Linders
International Tax Senior Advisor European Region
John Linders is a senior international tax advisor with extensive experience advising European and multinational corporations on direct tax matters, including reorganizations, mergers, and cross-border acquisitions.
He has served as a regional partner at leading global professional services firms, including Deloitte, BDO, and Ryan, advising Dutch and foreign multinational groups, including Fortune 500 companies, on complex European tax structures and transactional matters.
John is an attorney at law and holds a Master of Science in Economics from Erasmus University, Rotterdam, The Netherlands. At Avzire, he serves as Senior Advisor for the European region, contributing technical judgment and regional expertise to international tax and cross-border structuring engagements.
